Quickbooks in the "Cloud"                                Sept 2010 Client needed to upgrade to Quickbooks Pro 2010 for multiple users, but their terminal server was too outdated to install Quickbooks 2010. Solstice Data Group configured a Windows Server 2008 platform in the "cloud", installed Quickbooks 2010, migrated their data, and configured each user for access. The client now has Quickbooks platform with all the redundancies that the "cloud" provides for a low monthly fee without having to make a captial investment for a new server. Technologies used: Windows Server 2008, Quickbooks Pro 2010 E-care Software Launched                                Aug 2010 Solstice Data Group is proud to annouce that it has launched E-Care for a local veterinarian clinic here in Charlotte. E-Care will allow complete tracking of animals in the ICU unit. Some of the features include: tracking vitals signs, medications, observations, fluids, and associated charges. E-Care will increase the level of care to the animals in the ICU and help the hospital keep track of charges. Client's website was consistently failing PCI complance due to their hosting provider having various open ports and out of date software. To solve this problem, we moved their website to their own dedicated server in the "cloud", thus being able to control all the security settings to achieve PCI compliance. The interactive form will require applicants to complete required fields and breaks down into nine logical sections. Each completed application is stored in a SQL database for HR department to review when needed.  Technologies used: ASP.NET / Microsoft SQL Server November 2009 Solstice Data Group completes customized Point of Sale application for client's operation. The application will calculate the total bill for the consumer and calculate change due to assist cashiers. End of day reports show transaction totals for each cashier and for the entire day. Voided transactions are also recorded.
